Squadron Leadership
KCCS LEADERSHIP - Our squadron leaders bring unique skills and backgrounds to help achieve KCCS's mission. Some of our KCCS leaders have military experience, and others come from professional careers—but all are dedicated to working together to make KCCS an outstanding squadron.
Captain Catherine Metcalf, Squadron Commander: Leader and co-founder of KCCS, serves as KCCS's Squadron Commander, and an ES Ground Team Leader. Cathy works tirelessly to coordinate our efforts, represent KCCS to the Kansas Wing, and administer KCCS's programs.
Lt. Colonel Hiram Morales, Safety Officer: Recently retired from active military duty as an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel, continues his career as a leadership training expert. A lifetime CAP member who has served as a Cadet, CAP Officer, and Squadron Commander, Lt. Colonel Morales brings a wealth of leadership capacity to KCCS.
Major Dennis Thompson, Chaplain: Veteran and retired Air Force helicopter pilot with a Masters of Divinity, Chaplain Thompson current serves our community as a Military Chaplain, CAP Chaplain, and Pastor.
Major Alan Simon, Mission Pilot: Professional educator and experienced pilot, brings strong Mission Pilot capacity to KCCS Emergency Services Flight Operations and Cadet Aerospace Education programs.
Lt. Jeff Outlaw, ES Officer, Mission Observer and Pilot: A career I/T Professional, works diligently to build KCCS's Emergency Services and Air Operations capabilities.
