OUR ACTIVITIES

Squadron Meetings: Kansas City Composite Squadron's weekly squadron meetings, held on Tuesdays at 18:30 to 20:30, are our primary training and planning time. Our rotating weekly meeting schedule provides interesting opportunities to develop expertise in Emergency Services, military drill, Physical Training, Character Development, Safety, Aerospace Education, Flight Operations, and leadership.

Emergency Services Training: CAP provides numerous opportunities to become qualified in Emergency Services through training bivouacs, Search and Rescue Exercises (SAREXs), extensive online CAP ES and FEMA resources, and National Emergency Services Academies. Cadets can also participate in State Encampments and National CAP Events such as Powered and Glider Flight Academies, Cadet Competitions, Officer Academies, Blue Beret, Hawk Mountain ES, and many other amazing leadership development opportunities.

Community Service: A core CAP value is Volunteer Service, and KCCS loves to serve our community. We serve regularly through military Honor Guards, volunteer service for public events such as the Kansas City Air Show, St. Patrick Parade, Shawnee Days, Kansas Speedway Races, and many others. And when the chips are down, KCCS is ready and trained to be deployed on the ground and in the air to support critical Search and Rescue, Disaster Relief, and Emergency Management efforts in our region.
